Eagle Harbor Marina

Here we are at our new home in Eagle Harbor Marina. And yes... we DO have an eagle that hangs around... We got here last Saturday, moved from Port Hadlock to be in Kittsap county... another LOONG story that I will get into another time.
My plan was to write every day of our adventures and miss adventures, but as time passed I kept feeling like I had to 'go back in time' and first tell what had happened the past 8 months BEFORE i started on today..... Well..... That was not working out so well, I wasnt getting anything done or recorded. LOL
So Today, the LAST day of June. The end of our fist MONTH as live aboards. Yes we have been aboard since June 1st.. OMG .... Today I will just START writing the dang thing and everything else will just have to catch up!
Today we drove into Port Townsend to the Title company, we sold the house in Post Falls. YHE-HAW. Thank the Gods!!!! Stopped in to visit Nicole, we all went to drink lunch at a Mexican place in Port Hadlock... YUMMMMMM. All in all a good day.
See that wasn't so hard........ Now I will try again tomorrow. He He He

LIVING the DREAM

My husband and I decided to sell EVERY THING we own and live on a boat!

We are either completely out of our minds, taking the biggest leap of faith EVER, or just plain crazy, but we are goin’ boating! After 50 years of busting our …, working hard to make the mortgage and pay the bills, we have decided to throw caution to the wind and do something mere mortals only dream about, something wild and outrageous, sell it all, buy a boat and have some fun.
We have always dreamed of being able to just run away. Now, suddenly, the opportunity is here.

Our plan is to ‘live aboard’ full-time, to stop, stay, or cruise with changes in mood and weather. To just get up and go fishing, to sleep every night in the world’s biggest water bed. Watching the sunset and have coffee on the deck and enjoy the sunrise, margarritas and watch the sunset. Change the waterfront view anytime we want. To just ….. Live.
We are a 'young' couple in our 50's. We have 4 children and 15 grandkids. (And contrary to popular opinion, that is NOT why we are leaving to live on a boat!) We just want to enjoy what life has to offer while we still can.
We sold our home, shop, all our toys, our vehicles, boat, atv’s, 30’ camp trailer, household items, antiques....... WOW. Now here we are, living our Dream.

To everyone who helped us with our quest, or dreams along with us …. THANKS!
